My name is Matt Cason and I have lived in Florida my whole life and have been playing the guitar for about 8 years now. I am Straight Edge. I was born Straight Edge and I will die Straight Edge. I do not view Straight Edge as a label, but more as a description of the way that I choose to live. It is a positive way of life if you handle it correctly and do not condemn others for how they live theirs. Anyone who doesn't understand that just doesn't want to see the Truth. I feel that everyone is free to live how they choose, as long as it does not put others in danger. I do not force my opinions on others, I only try to advise when someone is taking something damaging to excess. It hurts to see my friends and people damaging themselves with something that is so completely unnecessary. I especially hate to see the people that were once so against these things fall victim to them so easily. I am tired of seeing so many lives being lost to alcohol and drug abuse. Live life. Needles and booze are not the answer to the problems we face in this self corrupted world. We should enjoy life while we can. I am also tired of the people that spend their whole life dwelling on the problems of this world and don't really do anything about it. You must be aware of these problems, but then rise above them, learn from them, and live your life to the fullest extent.
Tomorrow Never Came stands for anything that Tomorrow was supposed to bring and didn't, which can mean something different for everybody. However, this does not mean that Tomorrow Never will come. Or it could stand for a moment that you experienced and didn't want Tomorrow to come and it didn't. It means whatever you want it to mean in your Heart.
This band means a lot to me and I am glad that I got to start it with such great guys. I hope that everyone enjoys what we do because all of our hearts will go into each song and every drop of emotion we have will go towards the effort to do our best to Rock your heads clean off...
Don't ever let anyone tell you "You can't" because you can. The world is full of hate, but it is also full of opportunities and happiness. Large corporations do not decide the way you live. You must live for yourself and not for something you see on T.V. You decide your direction in life. I know people in the worst situations come out better than a rich man, due to hard work and the determination to succeed and make something of themselves. Believe in yourself. Always stick to your convictions and if the world ever beats you down, that only means that you will rise up and come back stronger. Whenever you feel like your life should end, you must press on and realize that the sun will rise again, Tomorrow.
Stay True,
-Matt Cason-
